Anonymous or Confidential Testing?Anonymous testing uses code numbers to identify your test. Your name is never used. You use the code to get your results. You are the only person who knows your results. With anonymous testing, you have complete control in deciding who to tell and when.
With confidential testing, your name is recorded and linked to your test results. Even though this information is kept private, others may have access to this information, including health care providers, your insurance company, and the health department.
